No matter how you choose to write your stories, the thing is to JUST write them. Whether as a pantser, a plotter, or a plantser. Just choose a word from the list, and write.

We try to get them to fit the flash-fiction length of 300–500 words. New word lists are posted every two months for you to choose from. Use one, five, ten, twenty, or all of them; it just depends on how much “you” want to write.

Each story is edited lightly, i.e., spelling and punctuation. NONE of your words are changed beyond that. No rewriting of any work.

The stories are also checked through several sources—none of which I find particularly reliable, mind you—for being AI-generated writing. But hey, they are checked by AI, so what can I say?

We accept poetry as well. We do ask that you refrain from anything past a PG rating.
